About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Supply Chain to spearhead the development of a robust and innovative supply chain ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading strategic and operational activities across sourcing, procurement, materials, logistics, and planning. This role demands a visionary leader who can bridge the gap between aerospace engineering, high-rate production, and commercial operations, all while upholding the values of safety and proactive risk management. The VP will be tasked with driving digital transformation, synchronizing the value stream, and scaling organizational capability to ensure the supply chain is a competitive advantage. Operational oversight, including inventory management, demand planning, and transportation, is a key aspect of the position, as is the formulation of sourcing strategies, negotiation of supply contracts, and the establishment of a supplier engagement program. Candidates for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred, and at least 10 years' of progressive supply chain experience, including 3-5 years in senior management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, inventory strategies, and supplier management, as well as proficiency in ERP systems. Leadership, communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential. Experience in digital transformation, and process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma, is highly valued. The role also requires the ability to lead through rapid growth and cultural transformation, particularly in transitioning from an R&D-focused to a high-rate production environment.
