Since 2007, Urban Organics has been creating thoughtful, design-forward events for clients across the Bay Area and Napa. We’re a boutique luxury catering and event production company known for seasonal food, beautiful presentation, and genuinely warm hospitality. Every event we produce is custom, and every detail matters, from the first proposal to the last box loaded out at the end of the night.
The Role
We’re looking for a dependable, organized Driver & Operations Assistant to keep our events moving smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll be the person who makes sure everything our culinary and event teams need arrives on time, in perfect condition, and exactly where it should be. This role works closely with our Operations Manager and kitchen team out of our production kitchen in Lafayette.

What You’ll Do
- Safely drive company vehicles to deliver food, equipment, rentals, and décor to event sites across the Bay Area and Napa
- Load, unload, and pack vehicles carefully and efficiently, protecting food quality and fragile equipment
- Pick up and return rentals, coordinate with vendors, and handle supply runs
- Support event setup and breakdown alongside our event staff
- Keep our kitchen, storage, and equipment areas clean, organized, and event-ready
- Assist with inventory, equipment tracking, and prepping event pack lists
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Represent Urban Organics professionally with clients, venues, and partners on site
What We’re Looking For
- Valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Experience driving cargo vans or box trucks (catering, events, or delivery experience a strong plus)
- Strong knowledge of Bay Area roads, traffic patterns, and venue logistics
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and stay on your feet for long days
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends based on the event calendar
- Calm under pressure, punctual, and detail-oriented
- A team player with a polished, friendly presence
