Busser

About this position

The Busser keeps Centrale’s dining room moving with care. You anticipate what each table and teammate needs, maintain a welcoming setting and help make every course feel coordinated, from the first glass of water to the final reset.

• Prepare tables and service stations with clean, complete settings and the supplies needed for service.
• Provide attentive water service and communicate bottled-water requests and other guest needs to the server.
• Clear unused settings and finished items respectfully, following the team’s timing and clearing standards.
• Coordinate with servers and runners to clear, crumb and reset tables between courses.
• Keep tables and surrounding areas clean and organized, and continue appropriate water service while guests remain.
• Reset tables promptly after departure and communicate readiness to the service team.
• Handle glassware, silverware, plates and waste safely, keeping clean and used items properly separated.
• Complete assigned opening, closing and side work, replenish stations and help teammates when service priorities change.

• A dependable, attentive approach and pride in a clean, well-kept dining room.
• Clear communication and willingness to work as part of a coordinated service team.
• Ability to notice what needs doing and respond calmly during busy periods.
• Careful handling of service items and willingness to learn Centrale’s service and safety procedures.
