Join Our Team as a Welder in Essexville MI
Pay Rate $22.00-$23.00/hr with Weekly pay
Schedule time is Monday-Friday 7am-2:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Welding & Fabrication: Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on materials like steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Equipment Setup: Adjust and configure welding machines, gas flow rates, and current/amperage settings.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Material Preparation: Clean, grind, cut, and clamp metal surfaces to eliminate contamination.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished welds for structural integrity and correct dimensions.
- Safety & Maintenance: Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean workspace (5S/Lean practices). (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Experience: Proven experience operating both MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) equipment.
- Skills: Strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to pass an on-site practical weld test.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift materials up to 40–50 pounds. (1, 2, 3, 4)
