Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Location: Coos Bay, OR
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Compensation

  • Salary : Based On Experience
  • Potential Sign-On Bonus

Schedule

  • Four 10-hour day shifts
  • No nights or weekends
  • Shared paid call rotation


Position Overview

Join a collaborative oncology team providing comprehensive cancer care in a primarily outpatient setting with occasional inpatient consults. You'll work alongside experienced oncologists and infusion nurses while caring for patients receiving chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and supportive oncology services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage oncology patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Manage chemotherapy and supportive oncology care.
  • Perform procedures within NP/PA scope of practice.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis and treatment.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.


Qualifications

  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Active Oregon License (or willingness to obtain).
  • NP Candidates: AONCP Certification (or in process).
  • Oncology NP/PA experience preferred.
  • Clean malpractice history.
  • Eligible for credentialing.
  • Demonstrated ties to Oregon preferred.
