About this position
Patriot Truss & Components is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair a variety of equipment and vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on vehicles, equipment, or machinery
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical issues accurately and efficiently
- Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and technical resources to troubleshoot problems
- Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with company and industry regulations
- Keep work areas organized, clean, and safe
- Communicate repair needs, timelines, and costs with supervisors
- Stay current with new technology, tools, and repair methods
Requirements
- The minimum work week to consist of Monday-Friday
- Normal hours 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Additional hours may be required at times to meet deadlines
- Previous experience as a diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, or similar role
- Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing forklifts is required
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical and electrical components
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs independently
