Overview
Servers are responsible for creating memorable dining experiences through genuine hospitality, thoughtful guidance, and attentive service. Working closely with the management team and support staff, Servers help create the welcoming, neighborhood atmosphere that makes guests want to return again and again.
As a member of the opening team, you'll help establish the service style and hospitality standards that define Sutro Hall.
What You'll Do
• Welcome guests with warmth and genuine hospitality.
• Guide guests through the menu with confidence, making thoughtful food and beverage recommendations.
• Deliver attentive, knowledgeable service throughout every stage of the meal.
• Communicate clearly with the culinary and support teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns with professionalism and care.
• Maintain clean, organized stations and support the overall dining room.
• Assist teammates whenever needed to ensure exceptional service.
• Help create the welcoming neighborhood restaurant experience that defines Sutro Hall.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• 2+ years of restaurant service experience preferred.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge or enthusiasm to learn.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
Work Environment
• Involves standing and walking throughout the entire shift.
• Involves frequent reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Involves lifting, moving, and carrying up to 25-50 pounds as needed.
• Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
