Job Description
The Industrial PLC Electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing Production Equipment and systems using electrical, mechanical, and process-related skills. Must be able to troubleshoot PLCs, work with 480V three-phase systems, and perform a variety of electrical maintenance and repair tasks.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Program, troubleshoot, and configure Programmable Logic Controllers ( PLC)
-Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
-Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
-Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operation and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
-Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
-Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery
-Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
-Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
-Limited travel may be required
Requirements:
- Must be able to work Night Shift (11 p.m. - 7 a.m.)
- Experience performing electrical and mechanical repairs SPECIFFICALLY on Industrial Production Equipment. (ex. conveyer systems, automated belts, industrial mixers, CNC Machines etc. )
-PLC experience is a MUST : Proficient in PLC programming, configuration, and system troubleshooting.
-Capable of connecting to, communicating with, and modifying PLC-controlled systems
- Knowledgeable in PLC communication networks, protocols, and cabling required for equipment integration.
-Two year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field is preferred.
-A minimum of THREE years of hands on Industrial Maintenance Technician experience.
-Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
-Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
-Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
-Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
