NEW RESTAURANT and CAFE OPENING!!! Hi Neighbor Group (7 Adams, the Vault Steakhouse, the Vault Garden, Trestle, MAMA Oakland) is looking for a hard working professionals who are team oriented, have a passion for hospitality and want to grow their career. New Cafe, Restaurant and Events Space opening FALL 2026...Please read below about this exciting new opening and hope you will send a resume and want to be part of this team!We are seeking baristas who have a strong work ethic and experience in coffee. You will also become part of a growing team with potential for advancement. The Café will be open Monday thru Friday, 7am-4pm, We are looking for a barista for the closing shift, 11AM-5PM. Pay rate $24 an hour (based on shift responsibilities and experience) + tips. Medical and Dental Benefits available as well.
Responsibilities:
*Collaborate and work as a team to provide consistent customer service in a dynamic, busy environment
*Actively participate in your continued education of our products and your training
*Craft and serve exceptional food and beverage product
*Follow all company policies, procedures, and steps of service and share ideas to make it better
*Be diligent and take pride in daily operational tasks of opening and closing duties, engaging with guests, cleaning (trash removal, sweeping/mopping, dusting/cleaning surfaces), re-stocking, preparing drinks, cash handling, and food prep
Qualifications:
*Experience with coffee, customer service and working in a customer-focused environment
*Must be polite, professional and engaging with a passion for hospitality
*Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with management, coworkes and guests
*Excellent hygiene and grooming are requirements for this position, must also maintain a neat appearance
*Must be able to stand for periods of up to four (4) hours in length. Must be able to reach, bend, kneel and frequently lift up to fifty (25) pounds.
