About this position
GOGYO Gramercy is a casual-chic Japanese ramen gastropub that strives to provide an authentic Japanese dining experience.
We are looking for a Dishwasher/Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. Previous professional kitchen experience is preferred, but extensive Japanese or sushi experience is not required.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, organized, and interested in learning Japanese cuisine.

“Starts with Drinks and Tsumami, and Ends with Ramen.”
A strong work ethic, teamwork, cleanliness, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment are the keys to success.
Responsibilities include:
• Daily upkeep of the premises, including sweeping and mopping.
• Washing dishes during service
• Maintaining a clean and organized workstation
• Following food safety and sanitation procedures
• Communicating and working closely with the kitchen team
• Managing waste, recycling, etc.
• Assisting with opening and closing responsibilities
Qualifications:
• Previous professional kitchen experience preferred
• Reliable and punctual
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
• Weekend availability required
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
