Job Description

• Lead and coordinate daily shop activities and technician workloads

• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional customer relationships

• Communicate effectively through email and other digital platforms

• Utilize computer systems for work orders, scheduling, inventory management, and reporting

• Perform and oversee tanker trailer inspections, maintenance, and repairs

• Troubleshoot and repair air brake systems and related components

• Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards

• Maintain accurate repair documentation and service records

• Train, mentor, and support shop personnel

• Assist with parts ordering, inventory control, and equipment management

• Coordinate with operations and management to meet customer and business needs


Required Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of HM183 regulations and requirements.
  • Extensive experience with tanker trailer repair and maintenance.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing brake systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair procedures.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and work independently.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • HS Diploma

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tanker trailer inspection certification experience.
  • Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance or repair environment (3 years min).
