• Lead and coordinate daily shop activities and technician workloads
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional customer relationships
• Communicate effectively through email and other digital platforms
• Utilize computer systems for work orders, scheduling, inventory management, and reporting
• Perform and oversee tanker trailer inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair air brake systems and related components
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and service records
• Train, mentor, and support shop personnel
• Assist with parts ordering, inventory control, and equipment management
• Coordinate with operations and management to meet customer and business needs
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of HM183 regulations and requirements.
- Extensive experience with tanker trailer repair and maintenance.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing brake systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead a team and work independently.
- Valid driver's license.
- HS Diploma
Preferred Qualifications
- Tanker trailer inspection certification experience.
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance or repair environment (3 years min).
