About the Position

Strohwig Industries is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our Operations team as an Assembly & Operations Support Technician.

This is a hands-on, versatile position for someone who enjoys working with tools, staying active, and taking on different responsibilities throughout the day. The primary focus is light assembly and secondary manufacturing operations, with additional opportunities to assist with shipping, truck driving, maintenance, and general facility operations.

Don't have a CDL? No problem! We're willing to provide company-funded training for the right candidate to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

What You'll Do
  • Perform light assembly work, including installing threaded inserts, fasteners, and other components into manufactured parts.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to complete work accurately and safely.

  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.

  • Operate company vehicles to transport materials, products, and equipment.

  • Assist with shipping and receiving, including packaging, loading, unloading, and moving materials.

  • Help with light maintenance, equipment cleaning, and general facility upkeep.

  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment after completing required training.

  • Support other departments and assist with additional projects as needed.

What We're Looking For
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools and power tools.

  • Ability to follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete repetitive assembly tasks accurately.

  • Dependable, adaptable, and willing to help wherever needed.

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Current Class B CDL or willingness and ability to obtain one through company-funded training.

  • Ability to meet applicable DOT requirements before operating regulated vehicles.

Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, shipping, maintenance, or truck driving is a plus, but not required.
