Background Check The Inspection Service criminal background check is conducted using United States information resources only (e.g., FBI fingerprint check, state and county checks). A criminal background check involves a 10-year inquiry for any location where the individual has resided, worked or gone to school within the United States or its territories. As a result of this limitation, the criminal background checks of individuals who have not resided in the United States or its territories for the preceding 5-years may not be considered complete. The Inspection Service may be able to process inquiries for U.S. Citizens only, but only if their time spent out of the country was spent as: a trailing spouse or dependent of someone working for the U.S. government (military or civilian), a missionary, a student attending school in a foreign country, a Peace Corps participant, or as an employee of a U.S.-based employer/company. Functional Purpose Supports market insights programs and studies focused on empowering internal customers to make smarter business decisions through developing a deeper understanding of customer behavior, competitor activities, and emerging trends in the macro-environment. This classification primarily supports secondary market research, which requires less accountability, professional experience, and technical expertise than the Market Insights Consultant classification.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Evaluates a variety of secondary market research sources on a regular basis (e.g., eMarketer) to identify trends, insights,
and key takeaways for the organization. Interprets data results and draws conclusions to inform business needs and requirements.
2. Develops written summaries and reports detailing secondary market research data findings, trends, and notable
conclusions; Ensures reports are written in a user-friendly manner and appropriately communicate secondary research data to internal stakeholders.
3. Supports the design and execution of market research studies using a variety of innovative research methodologies and
techniques (e.g., focus groups, IDIs, A/B testing, and ethnography) to address identified business requirements and needs.
4. Collaborates with team members to develop and ensure proper use of market research methodologies and techniques are
used to inform and report accurate findings to stakeholders.
5. Supports primary market research initiatives and projects; collaborates with team members to conduct statistical analyses,
and summarize business intelligence data to develop recommendations that identify strategic, tactical and operational business needs.6. Collaborates with team members to support market segmentation and brand research projects (e.g., ad/concept testing, customer satisfaction).
