We are a leading manufacturer in electrical, electromechanical, and mechanical assemblies, celebrating over 75 years of outstanding engineering and design. We have an immediate job opening for a MANUFACTURING DESIGN ENGINEER at our Northbrook, IL location to create and optimize custom production machinery and manufacturing processes to take projects from initial concept through prototyping, testing, and final factory integration..

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling and fixtures for production
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings
  • Generate process flow and instructions and all necessary documentation for production
  • Collaborate with shop floor machinists, assembly technicians, and quality control teams

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on mechanical design experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Knowledge of 3D CAD tools and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Communication: Strong problem-solving abilities and clear verbal communication for cross-team collaboration
