Physical Therapist – Orthopedic & Sports Medicine

Austin Orthopedic Institute | Georgetown, Texas

Join One of the Most Unique Orthopedic Physical Therapy Opportunities in Central Texas

Austin Orthopedic Institute is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to join our brand-new, state-of-the-art orthopedic rehabilitation clinic in Georgetown, Texas, conveniently located just minutes from Round Rock.

As part of a physician-owned orthopedic practice, you'll work directly with fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons, providing exceptional continuity of care from the operating room through return to sport. This is an opportunity to practice high-quality orthopedic physical therapy in an environment that prioritizes collaboration, mentorship, innovation, and outstanding patient outcomes.

Why Physical Therapists Choose Austin Orthopedic Institute

✅ Brand-new, state-of-the-art orthopedic and sports medicine facility

✅ Average caseload of just 12–14 patients per day

✅ 60-minute evaluations that allow you to practice comprehensive, patient-centered care

✅ Direct collaboration with fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons throughout the patient's recovery

✅ Opportunity to observe surgeries in the operating room and strengthen your understanding of surgical procedures and rehabilitation progression

✅ One-on-one mentorship from a Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist (FAAOMPT) with ongoing clinical development, case discussions, and advanced orthopedic education

✅ Treat a diverse orthopedic and sports medicine population, including ACL reconstructions, meniscus repairs, rotator cuff repairs, shoulder stabilizations, total joint replacements, fractures, and other complex orthopedic conditions

✅ Dedicated return-to-sport rehabilitation space with room for agility training, plyometrics, strength testing, running progressions, and functional performance assessments

✅ Achievable performance-based bonus program that rewards clinical excellence and team success

✅ Continuing education allowance with support for advanced certifications and professional development

✅ Flexible scheduling that promotes a healthy work-life balance

✅ Leadership and career advancement opportunities within a growing orthopedic practice

✅ Supportive leadership team committed to mentorship, collaboration, and helping clinicians reach their full potential

Unlike traditional outpatient clinics, our therapists work closely with orthopedic surgeons before and after surgery, allowing for seamless communication and coordinated patient care. This collaborative approach creates better outcomes while giving therapists a deeper understanding of orthopedic conditions and surgical rehabilitation.

Our therapists enjoy:

  • 60-minute evaluations
  • Manageable patient volumes
  • Clinical autonomy
  • Evidence-based treatment
  • Strong physician collaboration
  • The time needed to build meaningful relationships with patients

Sports Medicine Excellence

Whether you're passionate about treating weekend warriors or competitive athletes, you'll work with a wide variety of orthopedic and post-operative sports medicine cases. Our spacious rehabilitation gym was designed to support every phase of recovery—from early rehabilitation to return-to-sport testing.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
  • Current Texas Physical Therapy License (or eligibility)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation
  • Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
