MACHINE OPERATOR I 2nd shift

San Diego, CA 92121
Pay Rate: $21.45/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:15 PM–10:45 PM PST
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator I to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are eager to learn and develop their machine operation skills.

The Machine Operator will operate manufacturing equipment according to established specifications, standard operating procedures, and work instructions while maintaining a strong focus on product quality, safety, and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing equipment according to established procedures and specifications.

  • Monitor equipment functions and maintain accurate operational logbooks.

  • Report equipment issues and provide technicians with information regarding equipment failures or symptoms.

  • Assist with preventative maintenance activities by following established procedures.

  • Support material handling activities as needed.

  • Maintain proper segregation of materials, lot numbers, and receiving numbers.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all company and department SOPs, GMP requirements, device history records, hazard communication procedures, and safety rules.

  • Follow written procedures and training instructions to complete assigned tasks.

  • Accept accountability for product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

  • Report unresolved problems or production concerns to the supervisor or management.

  • Maintain complete and accurate records of work-in-process, component inventories, and related documentation.

  • Demonstrate steady progress in learning equipment and job functions within the assigned manufacturing area.

  • Follow supervisor instructions while inspecting the quality of raw materials and finished products before, during, and after production.

Ideal Candidate

  • Recent High School graduates and GED recipients are welcome.

  • 6 months operation experience required.

  • Must be eager to learn, coachable, and highly trainable.

  • Reliable attendance and a positive attitude are essential.

  • Candidates with stable employment history and demonstrated longevity are preferred.

  • 1+ year of tenure in previous positions is preferred when applicable.

  • Manufacturing, warehouse, production, assembly, or other hands-on experience is a plus but not required.

CNC machining/operator backgrounds are not preferred for this position. Candidates with extensive job-hopping or multiple short-term positions may not be the best fit for this opportunity.
