Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse – Med-Surg/Telemetry to join a collaborative 34-bed unit in Las Cruces, NM. This position offers an excellent opportunity to provide quality patient care while strengthening your medical-surgical and telemetry skills in a supportive environment.
The unit maintains a 1:5 to 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and provides opportunities for professional growth and advancement into higher-acuity nursing areas.
Shift: Various shifts available
Pay: $67,000 – $85,000/year, based on experience
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000 with a 2-year commitment
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly.
- Provide patient education and support.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Promote patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes.
- Participate in a team-oriented and patient-centered care environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience
- Current New Mexico RN license or compact license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- BLS certification required at hire
- ACLS and PALS preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills
