Noodlebird is looking for a dependable and experienced PM Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We are a fast-casual restaurant in Logan Square serving live-fire BBQ, handmade noodles and dumplings, and seasonal dishes made from scratch.

This is a full-time position, Wednesday through Sunday, focused on our PM dinner service. We're looking for someone who works well with others, stays organized during busy service, and takes pride in preparing consistent, high-quality food.

Wok experience is preferred but not required. We're happy to train the right person with a solid kitchen background.

Position Details

Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday (all five days required)

Shift: PM dinner service, including preparation and closing responsibilities

Starting Pay: $17.50–$18.00/hour + tips

Responsibilities
  • Set up, stock, and maintain an organized workstation

  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards

  • Maintain food quality, consistency, and proper portioning during service

  • Complete daily prep, restocking, cleaning, and closing tasks

  • Properly label, store, and rotate products using FIFO

  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures

  • Communicate effectively and support fellow kitchen team members

  • Work multiple stations as needed and take ownership of assigned responsibilities

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years of line cook experience in a fast-paced restaurant

  • Must be available Wednesday through Sunday

  • Wok experience preferred but not required

  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure

  • Positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to learn

  • Comfortable taking direction and receiving feedback
