School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico / Remote
Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Pay: $65–$70 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday during school hours
Start Date: 2026–2027 school year

Position Overview

Connections Therapy LLC is seeking qualified Speech-Language Pathologists to provide school-based services for K–12 students in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Onsite, remote, and hybrid opportunities are available based on school needs and clinician availability.

We are a clinician-owned company committed to providing responsive support, manageable assignments, and high-quality services aligned with student IEPs. Both full-time and part-time availability will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group speech-language therapy based on student IEPs
• Conduct speech and language evaluations and prepare written reports
• Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings
• Develop goals and monitor student progress
• Complete service logs, progress reports, Medicaid documentation, and other required records
• Consult with teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation
• Follow district, state, federal, FERPA, HIPAA, and professional requirements
• Provide remote services using secure platforms when assigned virtually

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred
• Current New Mexico SLP license or ability to promptly apply
• Current New Mexico Public Education Department license or eligibility to apply
• School-based experience preferred
• Experience with evaluations, IEPs, progress monitoring, and Medicaid documentation
• Reliable computer, internet connection, and private workspace for remote assignments
• Professional liability insurance
• Ability to complete required fingerprinting and background checks
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

Clinical Fellows with appropriate supervision arrangements may also be considered.

Compensation and Schedule

• $65–$70 per hour based on experience, credentials, assignment, and service-delivery model
• Independent contractor position
• Onsite, remote, and hybrid opportunities
• Full-time and part-time schedules available
• Services generally provided Monday through Friday during school hours
• Actual assignments and hours depend on school needs and clinician availability
