Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated part time Electrical Apprentice to join our team, with opportunities to grow into a full-time role. This position provides hands-on experience in Residential and commercial wiring, with some industrial automation, including working with PLCs, HMIs, and drives. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in developing skills in electrical systems within residential and industrial settings. This is a paid position designed to support your professional growth and technical expertise.

Duties

  • Assist experienced electricians with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in residential and some industrial environments.
  • Support the setup and programming of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and drives under supervision.
  • Participate in wiring, cabling, and all aspects of residential electrical work.
  • Learn to interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals as well as electrical codes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with client and contractors to ensure project details are done correctly
  • Perform routine inspections and assist in troubleshooting electrical issues as directed.

Experience

  • No prior professional experience required; however experience is strongly appreciated., a strong interest in electrical systems and automation is essential.
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles or coursework related to electrical codes and processes.
  • Eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness are critical for success in this role.
