About this position
Seoul Sweets is hiring a full-time Cake Decorator / Pastry Cook to join our team in Manhattan’s Koreatown.
As we expand our dessert menu, we are looking for a creative, detail-oriented professional with strong cake decorating skills and a passion for high-quality desserts.
Responsibilities
• Decorate and finish cakes with clean, consistent frosting, piping, and presentation.
• Prepare cakes, creams, fillings, and other pastry components.
• Assist with developing new cakes and seasonal desserts.
• Maintain consistent product quality, portioning, and presentation.
• Organize daily production and complete orders on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow food safety standards.
• Work closely with the kitchen and management teams.
Qualifications
• At least 3 years of experience in cake decorating, pastry production, or a similar role.
• Strong skills in cake assembly, frosting, piping, and finishing.
• Excellent attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
• Korean language skills are a plus, particularly for communication with our Korean-speaking kitchen team, but are not required.
• Experience with Korean-style fresh cream cakes and rice flour cakes.
• Interest in developing new desserts and seasonal menu items.
