Experienced Carpenter / Handyman — Residential & Commercial

At Odd Job Bob, we’re looking for an experienced Craftsman who brings that standard to every project.
We provide professional residential and commercial repair, maintenance, remodeling, and improvement services throughout Lake County and parts of Cuyahoga and Geauga counties. Our work ranges from household repairs and finish carpentry to commercial improvements and build-outs.
What you’ll do
- Complete varied repair, carpentry, remodeling, and maintenance projects with consistent attention to quality.
- Install and repair doors, trim, hardware, cabinetry, drywall, and other interior finishes.
- Assess job conditions, plan your work, and identify materials and equipment needed.
- Work independently within your abilities and collaborate with other Craftsmen on larger projects.
- Communicate clearly with clients and our operations team about progress, questions, and unexpected conditions.
- Maintain accurate job notes, photos, time entries, and material records using company systems.
- Keep work areas, tools, and company vehicles clean and organized.
- Support apprentices and interns through professional conduct and practical guidance.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated professional experience in carpentry, remodeling, or skilled property repair.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to complete work with limited supervision.
- Careful workmanship, sound judgment, and an understanding of when to ask for support.
- Reliability, respectful communication, and a professional presence in homes and businesses.
- Comfort using an iPad or mobile device for schedules, job details, photos, and documentation.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a company vehicle safely.
- The ability to perform hands-on construction work safely, including using ladders and handling tools and materials.

This position follows a Monday–Friday schedule. You’ll work with an operations team that coordinates scheduling and client communication, allowing you to focus on delivering quality work.
