Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG, MIG, and Stick welding on various structural and sheet metal assemblies according to project specifications.
- Cut, bend, measure, and assemble metal parts using a press brake, shear, plate rolls, drills, angle grinders, and hand tools.
- Accurately interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and standard welding symbols to determine project requirements.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace while following all shop safety protocols and performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Take direction from shop supervisors, coordinate with team members to meet production deadlines, and assist in cross-functional tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on welding and metal fabrication experience.
- Proficient in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding techniques.
- Demonstrated experience working with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.
- Hands-on experience operating shop tools and machinery, including press brakes, shears, rolls, drill presses, and grinders.
- Proven ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols accurately.
- Must possess basic welder’s personal equipment and hand tools
- Strong commitment to punctuality, reliability, and safe working habits.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to take direction and adapt to changing shop priorities.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Valid welding certifications (AWS or equivalent preferred).
- Rigging or material handling experience.
