NOW HIRING: PIPE WELDERS — $36/HR
Location: Smith Station, Alabama
Pay: $36 per hour
Project Duration: 2 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
We are urgently hiring experienced Pipe Welders for a 2-week project in Smith Station, AL. Qualified candidates must be ready to start immediately and available to work the full project schedule.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and interpret technical and mechanical drawings to plan layouts, measurements, and weld sequences.
- Fit, cut, join, and assemble pipe, sheet metal, ductwork, and other metal materials using fabrication and mechanical fabrication methods.
- Perform welding with gas metal arc welding (MIG), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW, or stick welding), and tungsten inert gas (TIG) processes as project requirements allow.
- Use hand and power tools, calipers, micrometers, cranes, and other measuring or material-handling equipment; support plasma cutting, machining, and soldering as needed.
- Check completed work against specifications, apply American Welding Society (AWS) standards where applicable, and maintain safe work areas.
Experience & Requirements
- Welding, fabrication, metal fabrication, or assembly experience; construction site or fabrication shop experience is valuable.
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret mechanical drawings, and apply basic math and shop math to measurements and fit-up.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, manufacturing processes, mechanical work, and common metal materials is preferred.
- Consistent safety protocol adherence and confidence using measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools are essential.
- Must be able to work the scheduled hours, Monday through Sunday
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must pass a background check
- Must be available to start ASAP
