The Journeymen Electrician plays a crucial role in industrial electrical projects, primarily working in small teams to install, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems. This role involves troubleshooting, wiring, and ensuring safety compliance while using both standard electrical tools and advanced diagnostic equipment. Local travel may be required to reach various project sites within the oil and gas sector.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade industrial electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring and equipment
- Conduct regular equipment testing and ensure safety compliance
- Adhere to national and local electrical codes and standards
- Collaborate with small teams to complete projects efficiently
- Communicate effectively with customers and project stakeholders
- Use advanced diagnostic tools alongside standard electrical equipment
- Support system upgrades in the oil and gas industry
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in electrical work
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of electrical systems and blueprint interpretation
- Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficiency in circuit testing and troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving and safety procedure skills
- Effective communication and time management abilities
