  • Starting Pay: $22.90/hour

We're seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to support our 3rd shift operations in Buffalo, NY. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process by conducting inspections, maintaining quality records, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform first-piece, in-process, receiving, tooling, and final inspections.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

  • Utilize a variety of gauges and inspection equipment.

  • Calibrate, set up, and maintain inspection tools and gauges.

  • Inspect specialty tooling including forms, shaves, drills, and broaches before use.

  • Verify compliance with plating, heat-treat, and other outside process specifications.

  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.

  • Identify quality concerns, issue rejections when necessary, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Support communication and coordination between Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.

  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment in accordance with 6S standards.

  • Follow all Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.

  • Strong shop math skills.

  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

  • Knowledge of calibration practices and quality inspection methods.

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, heat treating, plating, and outside operations.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to make sound quality decisions and effectively communicate findings.
