What You'll Do
- Sand, scuff, and prep cabinet components, panels, and millwork for finishing
- Mask, tape, and protect surfaces before spraying
- Move, rack, and handle finished and unfinished parts carefully to prevent damage
- Assist finishers with staining, sealing, and topcoat application as you gain experience
- Mix and prepare materials under direction of lead finishers
- Keep the spray booth, drying racks, and work areas clean and organized
- Inspect parts for defects and flag issues before they move downstream
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling of coatings and solvents
What We're Looking For
- A strong eye for detail and pride in quality work
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work well on a team
- Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Reliable attendance and a good work ethic
- Previous shop, woodworking, painting, or finishing experience is a plus, but not required; we'll train the right person
- Willingness to wear a respirator and other required PPE
