PROMAN Skilled Trades is hiring 2 experienced Pipe Welders immediately for a commercial chilled-water piping project in Fort Worth.
Steady 3–6 month project. Experienced welders only. Must pass a weld test administered by a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
Job Details
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Duration: 3–6 months
Start: ASAP
Schedule: Commercial construction schedule; overtime may be available based on project needs
Responsibilities
- Weld carbon steel chilled-water piping
- Work with pipe ranging from 2" to 36"
- Perform 6G pipe welding
- Follow approved QNA welding procedures
- Produce clean, quality welds capable of passing CWI inspection
- Assist with pipefitting, fit-up, alignment, and preparation as needed
- Operate oxy-acetylene cutting torches safely
- Work from lifts, elevated areas, and other heights when required
- Follow all commercial jobsite and OSHA safety requirements
Requirements
- Experienced commercial pipe welder
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- OSHA 10 required
- Must be certified under applicable QNA 6G welding procedures OR be able to test and certify in-house
- Must pass a welding test administered by a Certified Welding Inspector
- Strong carbon steel pipe welding experience
- Chilled-water piping experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of pipefitting and pipe installation
- Must know how to operate oxy-acetylene cutting equipment
- Must be comfortable working at heights
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have own welding/hand tools required for the trade
- Must have basic PPE
- Must have access to a personal fall-protection harness
