About this position
Corte is a new neighborhood restaurant opening in Philadelphia's East Market district in Fall 2026. Our menu will center on thoughtful, ingredient-driven cooking from the wood-fired oven, alongside handmade pastas, seasonal vegetables, and a focused selection of Italian wines and classic cocktails.
The restaurant is being built around familiar but ambitious food and genuine hospitality. Led by Executive Chef David Feola (Vernick Food & Drink, Ember and Ash, Hearthside; partner in Corio), we are building an opening team of people who take ownership, contribute ideas, and want to grow with the restaurant. We are seeking experienced bartenders who take pride in creating memorable guest experiences and bring a strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, and wine, or a genuine interest in continuing to learn.
Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to guests at the bar
- Prepare classic cocktails and house drinks with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Develop a genuine understanding of the cocktail, wine, and food menus in order to guide guests confidently
- Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked bar throughout service
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure accurate, well-timed service
- Participate in pre-shift training, tastings, and ongoing beverage education
- Uphold the restaurant's standards for hospitality, consistency, and teamwork
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience in a high-quality, full-service restaurant or bar
- Working knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, and wine
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay composed, organized, and personable during high-volume service
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- A team-first attitude and willingness to support colleagues across the floor
- Availability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, and holidays as required
