Metal Siding Laborer

Location: Augusta, ME
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to assist our carpentry crew on a variety of residential and commercial construction projects throughout the Augusta area. While we perform both residential and commercial work, the majority of our projects involve the remodeling and renovation of commercial office buildings.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in construction. Previous experience is helpful but not required. We welcome applicants of all skill levels and are willing to train motivated individuals who are eager to learn the trade.

Current Project

Our immediate need is for assistance installing metal trim and siding on the exterior of a two-story commercial office building.

Responsibilities
  • Assist carpenters with daily construction and remodeling tasks
  • Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and supplies
  • Install metal siding, metal trim, plywood, drywall (Sheetrock), insulation, and metal studs
  • Use hand tools and cordless power tools, including drills and impact drivers
  • Remove existing siding, drywall, wood framing, metal studs, and other building materials
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform general labor and construction-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to lift and carry construction materials
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions when required
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Construction experience is a plus, but not required
  • Must be dependable and able to work as part of a team
