Dolores Park Cafe is seeking a Hands on Leader who enjoys and inspiring motivation working alongside the team. A can do attitude and enjoys learning as well as inspiring others!Responsibilities include:
Café Operations
Oversee daily café operations and ensure a consistently excellent guest experience.
Lead opening/closing procedures, service standards, cleanliness, food safety, and day-to-day problem solving.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels and coordinate ordering with vendors.
Ensure the café is properly staffed and operating efficiently throughout each shift.
Hiring & Team Development
Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train café employees.
Develop and coach the team to maintain high standards of service, hospitality, and performance.
Create schedules and ensure appropriate staffing based on business needs.
Address performance issues promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive team culture.
Financial & Business Management
Take ownership of the café's P&L and understand the financial performance of the business.
Manage labor costs through effective scheduling, productivity, and staffing levels.
Monitor food, beverage, and supply costs and work to maintain appropriate COGS.
Review sales and operating results and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
Minimize waste, loss, and unnecessary expenses.
Leadership
Be a visible, hands-on leader who works alongside the team.
Maintain high standards while creating a positive and respectful workplace.
Communicate effectively with ownership and provide regular updates on operations, staffing, and financial performance.
Take ownership of problems and follow through on solutions.
