Job Description
The Occupational Therapist will work primarily in outpatient clinic settings, specializing in care for autistic children and individuals with mental disabilities. This role involves providing therapy to a diverse patient population including pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients. The therapist will deliver tailored rehabilitation programs aimed at improving patients' functional abilities and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate functional needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and therapy programs
- Provide rehabilitation therapy to enhance patients' independence
- Monitor and document patient progress regularly
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and care
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Offer supportive care tailored to each patient's condition
- Guide patients in using adaptive equipment effectively
- Facilitate therapeutic exercises to promote mobility and function
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Preferred Qualifications
- Occupational Therapy license
- Experience in patient assessment and therapy plan development
- Proficiency in rehabilitation techniques and medical documentation
- Strong patient communication and team collaboration skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
