Polisher/ Porter

Compensation: $19/hr

Lucky's Malibu is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Polisher / Porter to support daily restaurant operations. This position plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, presentation, and readiness of the restaurant before and during service.

The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Front-of-House Preparation and Organization

• Polish and maintain glassware, silverware, and other assigned service items.

• Fold linens and prepare silverware roll-ups according to restaurant standards.

• Maintain appropriate backup stock of folded linens, roll-ups, polished glassware, and silverware.

• Restock designated front-of-house service stations throughout the shift.

• Maintain clean, organized linen storage areas and notify management of shortages or supply concerns.

• Assist with opening setup, including preparing the dining room and service areas.

• Prepare and stock ice buckets before each service.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Inspect restrooms regularly during service, cleaning surfaces, restocking supplies, and attending to floors as needed.

• Clean designated restaurant windows and glass surfaces before service.

• Sweep and maintain designated exterior restaurant areas before service.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned workspaces and storage areas.

• Identify and communicate maintenance, cleanliness, or safety concerns to management.

• Complete other related cleaning, setup, stocking, and operational duties as reasonably assigned by management.

Bar Support

• Assist with designated bar setup tasks, particularly during weekend shifts.

• Prepare fresh juices and other nonalcoholic ingredients according to established procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned bar preparation areas.

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, porter, or support staff experience preferred but not required.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work efficiently and maintain cleanliness standards.

• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with coworkers and management.

• Dependability, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude.

• Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid California Food Handler Card if required for assigned food-handling duties.

This position involves prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, repetitive movements, and cleaning tasks. Employees may be required to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 25 pounds, with assistance or reasonable accommodation as appropriate.
