Job Overview

PrideStaff is seeking Production Assembler. The Production Assembler is responsible for building, assembling, and testing electromechanical components and equipment used in resistance welding, industrial automation, and power control systems (such as weld controllers, inverters, control boxes, and integrated cable harnesses).

Working in a structured manufacturing facility in Farmington Hills, MI, this role requires reading technical schematics, utilizing hand/torque tools, and performing quality checks to ensure precise assembly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Component Assembly: Assemble electrical and mechanical components for weld controllers, inverters, control panels, and sub-assemblies per engineering specifications.
  • Wiring & Integration: Route, wire, crimp, and connect electrical cables, circuit boards, transformers, and terminal blocks using standard hand and pneumatic tools.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and point-to-point wiring diagrams.
  • Quality & Inspection: Perform in-process quality inspections, visually inspecting solder joints, physical connections, and torque specs to maintain ISO standards.
  • Testing Support: Assist quality assurance technicians in continuous-continuity testing or preliminary testing of finished assemblies.
  • Safety & Workplace Care: Maintain a clean work area following 5S/6S principles and follow standard personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
