About this position
We at Happy Cooking Hospitality are looking for a leader’s leader; a motivated individual who is a self-starter and is passionate about people, food, beverage and most importantly, gracious hospitality. The Assistant General Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for not only the day to day operations of the restaurant, but maintaining and growing the culture of the specific restaurant and it’s place in the community.
The position requires a demanding mix of leadership, organization, service smarts and compassion. Candidates must have at least three years of restaurant management experience. To be successful requires excellent communication, leadership and organization skills, a high degree of knowledge and comfort speaking about food, wine and spirits and the grace of calm under pressure. The Assistant General Manager is expected to be a true leader of people and is someone who not only excels at back office tasks, but enjoys being active on the floor with their team and creating memorable guest experiences. They are responsible for creating a positive work environment and play a huge role in the growth, development and success of the service team.
