We are seeking skilled bartenders to join our team and lead the charge for the bar! Are you passionate about real hospitality, superb service, lovingly crafted cocktails and providing an amazing experience for your guests? If so, we would love to hear from you!

Bar Maritime is our casual seafood bar- classy, not fancy. No pretentiousness. Our goal is to elevate the service and selections found at traditional dive bars, while preserving the affordable pricing and welcoming, "come as you are" attitude that makes them so beloved.

The bar program is being helmed by longtime SF denizen and bar manager Larry Piaskowy (Rich Table, True Laurel, Alembic), and features whimsical, seasonal cocktails that embrace creativity without taking themselves too seriously. Live music performances are part of the experience, adding to the laid-back, welcoming atmosphere.

Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for mixology, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle high-volume shifts while maintaining a positive attitude. You’ll be responsible for creating classic and innovative drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and providing a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and customer preferences
• Greet customers, take orders, and provide excellent attentive service throughout their visit
• Ensure that the bar area is kept clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and compliance with alcohol-serving laws
• Engage with customers to build relationships and enhance their experience
• Process payments and balance the cash register at the end of the shift
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operation and a positive environment

Requirements:

• At least 2-3 years previous bartending experience in a similar setting
• Knowledge of drink recipes, cocktail-making, and beverage trends
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• TIPS or similar alcohol safety certification is a plus
