About this position

Responsibilities:

• Testcircuitsandcomponentsofmalfunctioningtelecommunicationsequipmenttoisolatesourcesofmalfunctions,utilizingdifferenttypesofhandtools.
• Testrepaired,newlyinstalled,orupdatedequipmenttoensurethatitfunctionsproperlyandconformstospecifications,usingtestequipmentandobservation.
• Repairorreplacefaultyequipmentsuchasdefectiveanddamagedtelephones,wires,switchingsystemcomponents,andassociatedequipment.
• Removeandremakeconnectionstochangecircuitlayouts,followingengineeringplans,workordersordiagrams.
• Demonstrateequipmenttocustomersandexplainhowitistobeused,andrespondtoanyinquiriesorcomplaints.
• Analyzetestreadings,computerprintouts,andtroublereportstodetermineequipmentrepairneedsandrequiredrepairmethods.
• Adjustormodifyequipmenttoenhanceequipmentperformanceortorespondtocustomerrequests.
• Runappropriatepower,ground,orcoaxialcables.
• Installallnecessarytransmissionequipmentcomponents,includingantennasorantennamounts,surgearrestors,transmissionlines,connectors,orTMAs.
• Conductsselfsafelyatalltimes,ensuresasafeareaforothers,andcompletesrequiredtraining,assessmentsandreportstimely.
