Job Description
The Drywall Install Helper supports a small drywall crew on residential and commercial projects at local jobsites. This entry-level role assists with interior renovations, new construction, and repair and patching work by helping prepare materials, position panels, support installation tasks, maintain tools, and keep the jobsite safe and organized.
Responsibilities
- Handle and stage drywall materials for residential and commercial projects.
- Assist with positioning and securing drywall panels.
- Support measuring and layout activities.
- Assist with cutting drywall and preparing fasteners.
- Support the application of joint compound.
- Clean and organize local jobsites throughout the workday.
- Maintain hand tools and power tools in safe working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and support the small drywall crew.
Required Qualifications
- Entry-level experience supporting drywall installation.
- Knowledge of drywall installation, material handling, and measuring and layout.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Understanding of jobsite safety practices.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
