Looking to grow your career in heavy equipment repair and certified welding? Tulsa Trailer is seeking a motivated Trailer Technician / Fabricator & Welder to execute structural repairs, custom metal fabrication, brake overhauls, and general maintenance in our Tulsa shop facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural trailer repairs including door replacement, floor patches, roof repair, body panel work, and lift gate servicing.
- Execute high-level fabrication and welding on aluminum, carbon steel, and 308 stainless steel using MIG, TIG, and FCAW processes.
- Assist certified code welders on ASME R-Stamp pressure vessel repairs and USDOT Hazardous Materials (HM) cargo tank work.
- Service wheel ends, friction/air disc brakes, air lines, and trailer wiring/lighting circuits.
- Utilize mobile tablets to manage job workflow and track completed maintenance tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1+ year of hands-on commercial trailer repair, metal fabrication, or MIG/TIG welding experience.
- High mechanical aptitude and comfort operating pneumatic tools, plasma cutters, and shop equipment safely.
- Familiarity with MIG, TIG, or FCAW welding on aluminum and steel alloys.
- Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and commitment to maintaining shop safety standards.
- Eager to advance technical skills through company-paid ongoing education and certifications.
