ABOUT CHAMPERS
Champers Social Club is SoHo’s boutique Champagne bar and all-day café, pouring a curated selection of bubbles alongside delicious bites. We blend an upscale, high-energy atmosphere with approachable luxury, a curated Champagne and cocktail program, and a highly stylized guest experience.
Champers is part of Festive & Co, a family of retail and hospitality concepts that includes Feste, led by husband-and-wife team Brenna Gilbert and Andrew McCaughan. Our leadership brings decades of experience from LVMH, Anthropologie, URBN, USHG, and Shake Shack.
But what we’re proudest of is simpler: people come back. A glass at the bar, dinner with friends, or a night to celebrate, we want every guest to feel like a regular.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for warm, polished Servers to bring the Champers experience to every table. You’ll guide guests through our Champagne, wine, and food menus, set a sparkling tone in the dining room, and make every visit feel like a celebration.
You’ll work alongside our Senior Servers, bartenders, and kitchen team, learning our menu and steps of service through hands-on training. Servers are hourly and tip pool eligible.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Guest Experience
• Warm Welcome: Greet every table with genuine hospitality and set the tone for a memorable visit.
• Steps of Service: Follow our steps of service with care and consistency, from first greeting to final goodbye.
• Read the Table: Pace each table’s experience, anticipate needs, and check back at the right moments.
• Guest Care: Handle requests and concerns graciously, and bring in a manager when needed.
Menu & Product Knowledge
• Champagne & Wine: Learn our Champagne, sparkling wine, and wine list, make confident recommendations, and deliver all three of our flight scripts at the table.
• Food Menu: Know every dish, ingredient, and allergen, and communicate dietary needs clearly to the kitchen.
• Responsible Service: Card guests, follow our alcohol policy, and bring in a manager whenever a guest may be overserved.
Teamwork & Standards
• Teamwork: Communicate clearly with the bar, kitchen, and support team, and pitch in wherever you’re needed.
• Side Work: Complete opening, running, and closing side work so sections are stocked and service-ready.
• Events: Support private events and large parties with excellent, well-timed service.
• Presentation: Follow our dress code and keep your section and service tools polished and organized.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Restaurant serving experience, ideally in an upscale or high-volume setting
• A love of hospitality and a natural, warm way with guests
• Interest in Champagne, wine, and food, and an eagerness to keep learning
• Composure and attention to detail during busy service
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Stand and walk for up to 8 hours or the length of a full shift
• Lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Navigate stairs safely and regularly throughout the shift
• Carry plates, glassware, and trays through a busy dining room, including up and down stairs to our Champagne cellar
• Bend, reach, and move quickly in tight spaces
