Job Description:

As a Commercial HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC systems within a commercial facility. This role is suited for a hands-on commercial HVAC/R service technician with strong troubleshooting and repair experience with little to no supervision.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC/R equipment
  • Replace compressors and evaporator coils
  • Recover, evacuate, and charge refrigerant systems
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues
  • Perform leak detection and system performance testing
  • Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Document maintenance and repair activity

 Equipment Serviced

  • 1 – 12-ton Trane package unit
  • 12 – 10-ton Trane package units
  • 3 – 5-ton Carrier split systems
  • 2 – Mueller process water chillers
  • 1 – Mueller glycol chiller
  • 2 – Trenton 7.5 HP freezer condensers
  • Various smaller AC units, exhaust fans, and makeup-air fans

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of commercial HVAC/R experience preferred
  • Demonstrable, hands-on experience with:
    • Compressor replacement
    • Evaporator coil replacement
    • Refrigerant recovery and charging
    • Electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting
    • Commercial HVAC and refrigeration service
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred
  • HVAC/R certification or technical training preferred
  • Ability to work independently and diagnose equipment failures
  • Must have appropriate HVAC hand tools

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $25-35.00 hourly not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
