Spicy Moon is a popular NYC vegan Sichuan restaurant known for bold flavors, creative dishes, and a fun, fast-paced dining experience. We're looking for hardworking, reliable, and motivated Line Cooks to join our growing kitchen team!

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to Spicy Moon recipes and quality standards.

  • Set up and maintain a clean, organized workstation.

  • Execute orders quickly and accurately during busy service.

  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and NYC DOH standards.

  • Assist with daily prep, inventory rotation, and proper food storage.

  • Minimize food waste and maintain consistent portion sizes.

  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.

  • Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.

  • Experience with wok cooking or Asian cuisine is a plus, but not required.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen.

  • Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency.

  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • NYC Food Protection Certificate is a plus.
