Star Onboard is seeking an HVAC Contractor to provide reliable heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services at an onsite location in Mountain View, CA.
Position SummaryAs an HVAC Contractor, you will install, maintain, and repair residential and/or commercial HVAC systems to ensure safe, efficient operation. You’ll work with customers, diagnose system issues, and complete service calls with a high standard of workmanship and professionalism.
This role is well-suited for an experienced HVAC professional who can work independently, manage jobsite requirements, and deliver dependable results while maintaining strong communication throughout each project or service request.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including troubleshooting performance and operational issues
Inspect equipment and components to identify defects, worn parts, and code or safety concerns
Service, test, and verify system performance to ensure proper airflow, temperature control, and overall efficiency
Read and interpret job requirements (including diagrams and specifications) to complete work accurately
Coordinate jobsite needs and maintain organized records of work performed and parts used
Proven experience performing HVAC installation, maintenance, and repairs
Strong diagnostic skills to identify system problems and determine appropriate corrective actions
Ability to read and interpret technical information such as system specifications and service requirements
Commitment to safety practices and safe work habits on job sites
Professional customer-focused communication and reliable work performance
Familiarity with industry best practices for system efficiency and long-term reliability
Experience working with a variety of HVAC equipment types and configurations
Ability to manage multiple service tasks while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Demonstrated track record of delivering timely, high-quality service outcomes
Hourly rate: $80.00
