Urgent Care LVN
Pay: $37.17/hour
Location: Austin, TX (On-site)
Type: Contract (approx. 19 weeks)
Schedule: ~35 hours/week (65 hours/bi-weekly). Shifts are typically 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours. After training, schedules are built in 6-week blocks.
Position Summary
We’re hiring an Urgent Care LVN for an in-person, patient-facing clinic role. You’ll use strong clinical judgment and hands-on skills to support high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Perform patient intake and assessments; obtain/record vital signs and identify abnormalities
- Administer medications (oral, injectable, topical, and IV as applicable per scope/site workflow)
- Perform phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing
- Document accurately in an EMR (Epic preferred)
- Support patient education and care coordination/resource navigation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic environment
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted LVN license (must be in good standing with no current or prior disciplinary actions)
- Compact licenses must be issued in the primary state of residence
- Valid BLS (expiration must be at least 30 days beyond the start date)
- At least 1 year of related healthcare experience
- Recent experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room
- Please note: Candidates whose background is primarily LTC / nursing home / home health / LTAC / SNF may have difficulty adapting—please do not apply if your experience is limited to those settings
- EMR proficiency (Epic strongly preferred)
Training & Coverage Expectations
- ~3 weeks of training/orientation up front
- Typical work week: 2–3 weekdays + every other weekend
- May include coverage on some major holidays
- Interview required
