Spicy Lanka, a Sri Lankan and South Indian restaurant with a full-service bar, is seeking experienced, dependable, and motivated Bartenders / Servers to join our growing team.

We're looking for hospitality professionals who take pride in their work, enjoy interacting with guests, and are comfortable handling multiple front-of-house responsibilities.

As our restaurant and bar operations continue to grow, we're seeking versatile team members who can assist with both bartending and table service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on environment and wants to grow with the business.

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages.

• Provide attentive, professional food and beverage service.

• Take orders and process payments using our Toast POS system.

• Assist with reservations, greeting guests, and seating when needed.

• Maintain a clean, organized bar and dining area.

• Work independently when necessary and collaborate during busy shifts.

• Assist with opening, closing, and general front-of-house duties.

• Learn our menu and confidently explain dishes, ingredients, and spice levels to guests.

• Minimum 2 years of restaurant or bartending experience preferred.

• Experience with both bartending and table service is highly desirable.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Fluent conversational English required.

• Tamil or Sinhala language skills are a plus, but not required.

• Knowledge of Sri Lankan or South Asian cuisine is an advantage.

• Reliable, punctual, professional, and comfortable multitasking.

• Available for evening and weekend shifts.

Guaranteed minimum earnings of $18 per hour, including tips — with the opportunity to earn significantly more.

At Spicy Lanka, $18/hour is the minimum guaranteed total hourly compensation, not an earnings cap. Employees benefit from guest gratuities, and their total hourly earnings can exceed $18 depending on customer volume, tips received, and applicable tip-sharing arrangements.

As our restaurant, bar, private events, and dining operations continue to grow, we anticipate additional opportunities for higher tip earnings and increased responsibilities.
