Job Description
Danika Plumbing & Electric | Everett, WA
Danika Plumbing & Electric is looking for a skilled Residential Service Electrician to join our growing team. This is a customer-facing role focused on diagnosing and completing residential electrical repairs and maintenance through scheduled service appointments.
At Danika, a service call is about understanding the homeowner’s concern, doing a thorough job, and helping the customer make an informed decision. We train our electricians to follow a clear call process: build rapport, set expectations, ask thoughtful questions, explore the home for related concerns, inspect and diagnose, then explain findings and options in a straightforward way. The goal is to help the homeowner understand what is happening and choose what works for them, without pressure or a scripted sales pitch.
You’ll report to the Operations Manager and work closely with our office and field teams to keep customers informed and service calls running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to scheduled residential service calls for electrical repairs and maintenance.
- Build rapport with the homeowner and set a clear agenda for the visit so they know what to expect.
- Listen carefully, ask useful questions, and understand the homeowner’s concerns before beginning the inspection.
- Inspect the home and electrical system to identify the source of the issue and any related concerns.
- Diagnose and repair outlets, switches, lighting, panels, breakers, wiring, and other residential electrical problems.
- Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting, and explain your findings in plain language.
- Present clear repair options and recommendations based on what you found, giving the homeowner room to ask questions and decide.
- Complete approved work safely and in accordance with applicable electrical codes.
- Protect the customer’s home and leave the work area clean.
- Take required job photos and accurately document findings, options discussed, customer decisions, and work performed.
- Keep the customer and office informed throughout the call, especially when the scope or schedule changes.
- Participate in ongoing training, call reviews, and role-play to strengthen your technical and customer communication skills.
What We’re Looking For
- Residential electrical experience, ideally two or more years.
- Experience with troubleshooting, panel work, wiring repair, lighting and device installation, and circuit diagnostics.
- Working knowledge of residential electrical systems and applicable electrical codes.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to ask thoughtful questions and explain technical issues in a way homeowners can understand.
- A professional, dependable approach with customers, teammates, and the work.
- Technical training in electrical work or a related field is a plus.
- Valid electrical license preferred (or willingness to obtain / maintain as required).
The Right Fit
You take ownership of the call from arrival to completion. You listen before recommending work, explain what you find, and follow through on the details. You understand that good service means more than fixing the immediate problem: the homeowner should feel heard, informed, and confident about the next step.
You’re open to learning and using a consistent call process while bringing your own personality and sound judgment to each interaction. You care about quality work and treat every home with respect.
If you take pride in your electrical work and want to help homeowners make confident, informed decisions, we’d like to hear from you.
