About the Role:
Cooper Electrical Services Inc is looking for a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join their team in Elkton, MD! Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Inspect and test electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NEC codes and local regulations
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform diagnostics to identify faults
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members on job sites
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment following OSHA safety standards
Requirements:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Maryland
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams
- Experience with both residential and commercial electrical systems preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
