The Physical Therapy Aide plays a crucial role in supporting both therapists and physical therapy assistants by assisting patients, preparing equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position involves direct, face-to-face patient interaction and operates within a structured routine to ensure efficient and effective therapy sessions.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients during therapy sessions and exercises
- Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and tools
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the therapy area
- Keep accurate records of patient activities and therapy sessions
- Support therapists and assistants with exercise routines
- Coordinate patient appointments and schedules
- Follow safety protocols and compliance standards
- Occasionally manage inventory related to therapy supplies
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in physical therapy support
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Skills in patient assistance and equipment maintenance
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Basic knowledge of anatomy
