Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
A well-established professional services firm is seeking a strategic, data-driven CFO to lead financial modeling, capital strategy, and M&A execution as part of a three-person executive team. Hiring immediately to support the company's growth and acquisition initiatives. Atlanta, GA – Local candidates only; this is an in-office executive role. The company is entering a growth phase with plans to double in size over five years through acquisitions and service line expansion. Office environment is collaborative and fast-paced with a structured leadership model and culture-first values.
This executive role is ideal for a finance leader with strong banking and analytical capabilities, ready to take charge of financial strategy in a scaling, acquisition-driven environment. The CFO will report to the board and serve as a peer to the CEO and COO, leading high-level financial planning and execution—not transactional accounting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and predictive analytics for planning
- Lead M&A efforts, including diligence, deal modeling, and integration
- Manage banking relationships, debt structures, and covenant compliance
- Implement advanced capital and cash management strategies
- Deliver profitability insights across clients, teams, and service lines
- Collaborate with internal data teams using tools like Power BI
- Represent finance in board-level strategy discussions
- Lead and mentor a finance team and oversee external CPA relationships
Qualifications include:
- Proven CFO experience or a Controller-level leader ready to step up
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and capital strategy
- Background in managing M&A transactions and banking relationships
- Comfortable with analytics platforms (Power BI or similar)
- Familiarity with EOS or structured leadership frameworks preferred
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent credentials a plus
- Must be located in Atlanta and thrive in an in-office leadership role
