Associate Scientist / Scientist / Senior Scientist
Pay Range: $85,000 - $140,000

How will you make an impact?
As part of a great team, the Associate Scientist/Scientist/Senior Scientist will have responsibility for the development of research products centered around recombinant protein technologies and antibody-based workflow solutions including Western, ELISA, IF, and single cell biology applications. You will work cross-functionally with marketing communications, sales, product management, and manufacturing to develop new products in support of the company’s growth strategy. This is a highly collaborative role where you will directly impact the company’s revenue growth.
What will you do?
- Support strategic and tactical planning efforts around new product development and key market segments to make investment recommendations to the leadership team.
- Support product portfolio roadmap in collaboration with marketing and product management.
- Execute new product development plans from concept to commercialization, working closely with manufacturing, product management, marketing communications, and sales.
- Contribute high technical quality content of marketing materials including collateral, web, sales tools, flyers, videos, white papers, case studies, and customer testimonials.
- Assist commercial teams and product management in product and market knowledge (tradeshow / event support, sales support, training).
How will you get here?
Education:
· M.S. or Ph.D. in life science or related subject.
Experience
· Experience in recombinant protein expression & purification up to 15 L fermenter scale
· Experience in biophysical protein analysis using Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) platforms
· Working knowledge of antibody discovery and development preferred
Skills and Abilities
· Product development expertise including – enzyme activity assays, protein characterization, antibody binding analysis
· Recombinant protein and antibody production strategies including expression and purification
· Protein:protein interaction expertise, including SPR (Carterra LSA preferred)
· Highly organized with proven time management and project prioritization skills
· Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously
· Ability to work collaboratively with various teams to achieve organizational goals
· Outstanding oral and written communication skills (with all levels within the organization)
· Scientific subject matter expert as demonstrated at conferences and with business partners
· Results-oriented and dedicated to providing high-quality customer experience
· Goal-oriented individual with demonstrated record of achievement
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Travel, including international, may be required approximately 20% of the time.
· Work situations include significant collaboration with people; working alone; making judgments and decisions; and directing and planning the activities of others.
· Some heavy lifting, kneeling, squatting, etc. may be required.
